Solution architect

As a Solution Architect, you are responsible for analysing the business demands of educational institutions and translating these demands into fitting ICT solutions that meet all operational requirements in terms of Identity & access management (IAM), connectivity, BI and software development. You provide our sales department with the information needed for tender and quotation processes, while, on more extensive journeys of customer support, acting as a technical coordinator for the developers.

 


For its Data team, IT-Workz is looking for a Solution architect. Do you have what it takes to guide the Teaching Netherlands to the next level of ICT?

What will you be doing?

  • In cooperation with the customer, listing and validating required functionalities and translating these into technologically practical IT solutions;
  • Creating functional and technical designs;
  • Performing consultancy procedures;
  • Preparing cost estimates for quotation processes;
  • Assisting in problem solving and 3d line incident resolution;
  • Monitoring trends of application and research into the applicability of new technologies related to Identity & Access management, connectivity, BI and software development, while being prepared to broaden your expertise in this field by appropriate training;
  • Creating, promoting and enforcing principles of data architecture.

What do you bring to the table?

  • Completed study at higher vocational education level or similar training;
  • Technical skills and at least 10 years of relevant experience, of which 3 years in connectivity design and implementation and/or software development;
  • Profound knowledge of Identity & access management processes, FIM/MIM, AD Connect, SQL, ADFS, Power BI and Microsoft 365;
  • Familiarity and experience with ITIL, Prince2, TOGAF and Scrum methodology is a plus;
  • Familiarity with educational processes and/or source and target systems used in the field of education is a plus;
  • Strong analytical skills, allowing you to swiftly distinguish between essentials and side issues;
  • You are stress resistant and easily approachable and you have good communicative skills.
